Growth Scans

A small number of babies below the 10 percentile line do have problems which need monitoring and action. The problem is always identifying which baby needs special attention by doctors. The only available method is scanning every 2 – 4 weeks, a scheme that helps identify babies at risk of intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR). Identifying these babies is critical so they can be monitored and delivered as appropriate. Because the NHS cannot offer monitoring to all mothers who are concerned about their pregnancies, we at Bumps do offer this service.
